The Afghan is a fantastic story. Forsyth's story telling takes the reader into the hills of Afghanistan, the belly of a ship and into the world of a terrorist. I have always been a fan of his writing, but this book painted a picture of how a great intelligence operation comes together.From the first page of the story when the phone rings in Peshawar to the very end where... it ends (no spoilers, you have to read this one), the story had me wrapped inside the world of both an intelligence operative and a terrorist.
